For many students, success in the classroom is linked to having appropriate accommodations and modifications. So, what are appropriate accommodations and modifications?

This workshop will focus on accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities. Participants will gain an understanding of the definition of both and the differences between an accommodation and modification. Examples of each will be provided and discussed. In addition, the process for making sure that students have appropriate accommodations and modifications will be explored.

Bring your questions and concerns you may have to this training.

Accommodations refer to the actual teaching supports and services that the student may require to successfully demonstrate learning. Modifications refer to changes made to the curriculum expectations in order to meet the needs of the student.
